see, it's broke already
If anyone has a clue why my spiffy new message board is returning mysql errors when I haven't touched anything, let me know!
*pout*
Edit: Nevermind, it started working again. Go figure.

look, message board!
I added a new link in My Stuff to the right, that goes to the message board I just installed. I dunno how well it's going to work, since I'm just guessing at this point. Please feel free to head over and register and laugh when it crashes your PC or something.

so much to say so much to say
Ok, so the title lies...there isn't really much to say. Well, there's a lot about my trip to Vegas last weekend, but I haven't gotten the pictures organized and the stories written down yet. That'll be added to the Hijinks section sometime. Maybe this weekend if I stop being a slacker.
New link in the Friends section. It seems that Laura has caught the blogging bug too.

happily ever after part deux
By the way, a definite part deux to the story has been scheduled. I'll be flying to St. Louis for Labor Day weekend (there from Friday evening till Monday). Chris thought that should be mentioned!
I have to meet the mom. No escaping nervous excitement this time either!
I stopped being a slacker!
For today at least.
There's a new section in the Links at the right called "My Stuff." I'll be expanding that section eventually, but for now, all you get is a link to Hijinks.
The only story in the Hijinks section at the moment is the one you've all been waiting for...the beginning to happily ever after. Don't read it if you don't want to hear sappy things.
Enjoy!
Oh wait, I have to be a little sappy right now, sorry.
Chris, I love you!

huzzah!
My digital camera I ordered this week is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Then I will be able to illustrate all my babbling here! Aren't you excited?

so I'm a slacker
Sorry for the lack of updates still. I've discovered that abandoning chiropractic appointments for 2 weeks leads to massive headaches that don't go away.
Definitely something by the end of the week!

the blessings continue...
Soooooooooooo that sacrifice I made to the gods of aviation is really paying off.
*whistles*
"Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in my wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth
For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good" --- Sound of Music

the gods of aviation smiled upon me...
So, a funny thing happened on the way to Chicago, for Chris at least. His flight to Chicago was delayed for 2 hours, which meant that his connection to St. Louis was going to be missed. So, since there was no way to re-route him to St. Louis tonight, he's having to stay an extra night. Drat. *winks*
*kneels before the gods of aviation*
You'll just have to wait till later for updates. To paraphrase Cartman...screw you guys, I'm going to be with my dwarf. :-p

happily ever after
Uhm right, my little script apparently doesn't leave messages indefinitely. Oops.
Seriously, I'm still living happily ever after!
All is right with the world.

*twiddles thumbs* the night before
So...remember what it felt like when you were a little kid and you were anxiously awaiting being sleepy enough to go to bed on Christmas Eve?
That's my night!
I managed to pass away the time doing trivial things...laundry, dinner, shower...just for Jamie's sake, I did clean the tub too. Now I'm just sitting around waiting for laundry to finish, and talking to Chris on Skype.
Time goes so slowly.
a must-eat place!
My friend Matt T. (also a hobbit fanatic) informed me of this lovely eating establishment, located within easy driving distance of here - Bilbo Baggins Global Restaurant.
Between that, and a place called Point of Rocks, MD, with Hobbit Glen and Pippin Lane as street names, I sense a road trip coming on. Please don't worry if a few street signs go missing in Maryland...
